Drainage Operative Role at Environmental / Infrastructure Business
We are seeking a number of Drainage Operatives for an environmental / infrastructure business in the Tamworth/Nuneaton area.
This is an ideal opportunity for those seeking a career with a progressive, growing business, especially in preparation for significant expansion plans. The work involves both domestic and commercial settings, typically in a two or three-person crew within a company vehicle. Responsibilities include carrying out CCTV drainage surveys, drain cleansing, analyzing pipe conditions, and producing high-quality CCTV reports using state-of-the-art surveying equipment.
You will respond to planned and reactive blockages across the Midlands and further afield in the UK. Candidates should be flexible and aware that work may involve working closely with sewage and within confined spaces.
Effective communication skills are essential, as you will liaise with customers and contract leads to discuss findings, organize daily tasks, and ensure the jetting unit is prepared for each job. The company values a can-do attitude, a good sense of humor, and a team-oriented approach. Rotation of driving duties is preferred, especially for projects further afield.
Key Requirements:
* Full UK driving license (clean or no more than 3 points) with some experience as a commercial driver
* Ideally hold an in-date CSCS green card
* Confined Space certificate or prior experience (preferred)
* NRSWA qualification
* High-pressure water jetting (jetvac) certificate (helpful but not essential)
* Comfortable working with wastewater and blocked drains (protective gear provided)
Package Details:
* Pay rate: £13.00 - £15.00 per hour, based on experience
* Hours: 0800-1700, with travel time paid at time and a half. Minimum 42 hours per week
