We are seeking an experienced and motivated Assistant Psychologist to support and enhance the psychological care of patients at Cygnet Joyce Parker Hospital and Meadow Mews.
Responsibilities
* Psychological assessment including psychometric administration.
* Risk assessment, safety formulation and management.
* Clinical formulation and implementation of care plans for psychological care and treatment.
* Collaboration with colleagues to provide integrated, whole‑person treatment and care.
* Planning, delivering and evaluating individual/group programmes.
* Administration, audit, research and service development.
Qualifications & Experience
Confident, motivated, well‑organised, and passionate about learning and working as part of an interdisciplinary team. Good understanding of therapeutic boundaries and clinical risk.
• Good degree in Psychology (2:1 or above) or equivalent accredited by the British Psychological Society (BPS). • Postgraduate training in applied psychology and mental health desirable. • Previous experience in mental health services and with Assistant Psychologist roles, delivering 1:1 therapeutic work and/or group therapy sessions, essential.
All candidates will undergo enhanced DBS and reference checks.
Employment Details
Full‑time, 40 hours per week: 20 hours at Cygnet Joyce Parker Hospital (Coventry) and 20 hours at Meadow Mews (Tipton). Clinical supervision provided. Assistant Psychologist Development Programme available.
