Role purpose: The Digital Workplace (DWP) Business Unit is a newly created division of SCC, designed to enable productivity conversations and create value for clients by leveraging over 40 years of market experience. The BU integrates equipment supply, service wraps, and financial solutions into a single, easy-to-understand package for customers. As most customers have transitioned to Windows 11, there is significant demand expected in the next 6-8 months for a new PC category called Copilot+ PCs—devices specifically created to run AI workloads like Copilot, Line-of-business AI applications, and locally processed AI software.
We need individuals capable of supporting SCC's New Business teams throughout the sales cycle—finding internal finance, aligning stakeholders, testing applications, selecting devices, configuring and rolling out devices, and managing device recycling or resale. The Windows 11 Champion will be central to the BU's growth, working with key vendors such as HP, Dell, Microsoft Surface, and Lenovo, and driving new device sales primarily from acquisition accounts, but also supporting managed accounts. The role involves creating and qualifying pipelines, closing opportunities, and collaborating with SCC and vendor sales teams, alliance managers, and service teams to deliver device volume growth, margin, and profitability.
This role offers an early-career sales professional the chance to engage with diverse clients across the UK—from commercial to public sector, large strategic accounts to new relationships—and to learn from experienced sellers. Key responsibilities:
Drive volume growth on Windows 11 and Copilot+ PCs
Manage the sales pipeline with vendors
Engage with branches and enablement efforts to meet targets
Qualify and close customer deals, engaging with sellers and clients as needed
Maintain relationships with vendors and customers to facilitate sales
Achieve margin targets on device sales
Collaborate with marketing to support go-to-market strategies and demand generation
Coordinate with SCC services to deliver comprehensive solutions
Work with vendor alliance teams to strengthen sales relationships
Contribute to the long-term strategy of the DWP BU, especially regarding SCC's Managed Services
Focus on margin-based success, with unit volume growth as a secondary metric
Maintain accurate pipeline and forecast data
Manage relationships within SCC, with vendors, and customers
Demonstrate high sales volume and margin contribution
Show willingness to learn and energetic drive
Preferably have experience in a complex, fast-moving business, ideally in reselling or manufacturing
Ideally have 2-3+ years of sales experience
Possess broad IT market knowledge, including workplace trends and customer challenges
Preferably understand Windows 11 sales points
Having knowledge of SCC and one or more key vendors (HP, Dell, Lenovo, Surface) is advantageous
