What is the Role?

The Graduate Energy Markets Programme offers a 2‑year rotation through projects and teams in SSE Energy Markets. You will work in areas such as Prompt Trading, Gas Storage, Energy Economics, Advanced Analytics, Weather and Curve Trading. Under the guidance of a Graduate Manager and a business mentor you will develop professional skills and work on real high‑impact projects.


Responsibilities

* Public‑market trading and risk management of wholesale energy assets.
* Develop analytical tools and models for price forecasting and optimisation.
* Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to support market operations.
* Support business development and client solutions initiatives.


What do I need to join?

We value diversity and ambition. Candidates should:

* Have a minimum 2:2 in Economics, Maths, Data Science, Engineering, Meteorology or a related discipline.
* Be flexible, agile and comfortable setting stretch targets.
* Show genuine passion for the energy sector and alignment with our core values.
* Be prepared to relocate to Perth or Edinburgh and work full‑time.
