Salary/Benefits:
Salary is between £31,930 and £36,878 per annum DOE and qualifications, 45 days annual leave plus Bank holidays, Teacher's pension, Retail and Leisure Discounts, excellent professional and personal development opportunities, accessing college courses. Note - Salary and Annual Leave entitlement is for that of a Qualified Lecturer.

About the role:
We are currently seeking a Lecturer in Plumbing to join our Construction department at The Bedford College Group.
Responsibilities:
 * Teaching & Curriculum Delivery - Prepare, deliver, and assess BSE subject specialisms across various qualification levels, ensuring engaging and industry-relevant learning experiences.
 * Student Support & Progress Monitoring - Provide 1:1 mentoring, track student progress, conduct assessments, and maintain accurate records to support achievement and development.
 * Curriculum Development & Innovation - Contribute to course planning, resource creation, and curriculum updates, aligning with industry standards and promoting continuous improvement.
 * Course Leadership & Administration - Undertake course leadership duties, manage registers, enrolments, and reports, and support team meetings and moderation activities.
 * Compliance & College Engagement - Uphold safeguarding, EDI, and health & safety standards, participate in college events, and remain flexible to work across sites as needed.
About you:
 * Qualifications & Industry Experience - Trade Advanced Craft/NVQ Level 3 or equivalent, with experience in the construction industry and willingness to achieve Level 2 Literacy/Numeracy and relevant teaching/assessor qualifications.
 * Teaching & Curriculum Skills - Proven success teaching BSE in FE settings up to Level 3, strong classroom management, and ability to contribute to curriculum development and innovation.
 * Communication & Collaboration - Effective communicator across all formats, able to build positive relationships, work independently and as part of a team, and contribute to a supportive learning environment.
 * Organisation & Professionalism - Highly organised, able to meet deadlines, complete administrative tasks accurately, and consistently demonstrate high performance and professionalism.
 * Safeguarding & Flexibility - Committed to safeguarding and EDI, with a flexible approach to working hours and locations, and a willingness to continuously update skills and knowledge.
