Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Pipefitter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in welding and plumbing, with the ability to read schematics and perform maintenance tasks. This role involves working with various materials and tools to install, repair, and maintain piping systems in a variety of settings.
Duties
* Install, assemble, and maintain piping systems according to specifications.
* Read and interpret schematics and blueprints to determine layout and installation procedures.
* Perform MIG and TIG welding as required for pipe fabrication and repairs.
* Utilise hand tools, power tools, and soldering equipment effectively.
* Conduct routine maintenance checks on piping systems to ensure optimal performance.
* Collaborate with construction teams to integrate piping systems into new builds or renovations.
* Apply basic mathematical skills for measuring and cutting pipes accurately.
* Ensure compliance with safety regulations while performing all tasks.
Skills
* Proficient in MIG welding, TIG welding, and general welding techniques.
* Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot issues effectively.
* Experience with plumbing systems and maintenance practices.
* Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and assembly techniques relevant to pipefitting.
* Ability to read schematics accurately for successful installations.
* Basic maths skills for precise measurements and calculations.
