We invite passionate individuals to apply speculatively for roles in engineering across biomechanics, power systems, and materials science. Ideal candidates include graduates, early-career engineers, and interns seeking hands-on experience in advanced research and engineering.

Our multidisciplinary teams blend applied science and technology, focusing on next-generation systems in biomechanics, energy systems, materials, and prototype engineering. We foster an environment that encourages curiosity, experimentation, and rigorous engineering practice.

1. Biomechanical Research & Bio‑Inspired Engineering

· Experimental biomechanics

· Bio‑inspired system modelling

· Sensor development and data acquisition

· Mechanical–biological system integration (including: Assessments of biofouling; Effects on sedimentation; How devices affect behaviour of fish and marine mammals)

2. Power Systems Engineering

· Electrical power generation & conversion

· Control and automation systems

· Electromechanical drive systems

· Thermal management and system reliability

3. Materials Science & Technology Development

· Advanced composites and metallurgy

· Corrosion, fatigue and durability research

· Materials characterisation and testing

· Manufacturing process development

4. General Engineering & Technology Innovation

· Prototype design and mechanical integration

· Modelling, simulation and system validation

· Instrumentation and sensing technology

· Experimental testing and field trial support

Who We're Looking For

· Final‑year students, recent graduates or early‑career engineers in mechanical, electrical, materials, biomedical or systems engineering.

· Individuals passionate about solving complex physical problems and working in multidisciplinary teams.

· Applicants comfortable with hands‑on experimentation, modelling, technical analysis or prototype development.
