Job overview
To work within the Secure Division Facilities Stores Department, including Central Stores, Patients Possessions, Linen bank, Provision Stores, and Mailroom. The role involves providing a quality storage service, maintaining accurate records of goods receipt, storage, and distribution for Secure Division Services.
Main duties
* Work as part of a team, carrying out allocated tasks.
* Participate in mandatory training and adhere to Trust procedures related to Stores, Patient Possessions, and Mailroom activities, including data entry into PACIS and E-Financial systems.
* Ensure security and health and safety standards are maintained, including data entry and compliance checks.
* Receive and process patient goods in the Patients Property Department and HS Mailroom.
* Deliver property to various locations, liaising with police, prisons, social workers, and others. Conduct security checks on goods, noting any illegal or restricted items, and report suspicious items.

Responsibilities
Conduct thorough searches and investigations of patient admissions property, report findings, and compile evidence for meetings. Operate mechanical handling equipment and ensure safety procedures are followed. Manage electrical PAT testing of patient electrical goods. Follow policies related to patient possessions and security, report defects, and comply with safety regulations. Cross-train in other areas of Facilities Management as needed. Conduct property checks with patients, manage evidence storage, and police system accuracy.

* Stores receipt, distribution, and stock control.
* Experience in facilities management roles.
Skills
* Manual handling and driving skills.
* Computer literacy for data entry and processing.
* Good communication skills.
* Organizational skills for managing deliveries and property records.
* Understanding of PACIS or similar software.
