This credit control function needs a shake-up. The successful candidate will take ownership of the credit control function, get it organized, and ensure cash flow is maintained. You will also be the line manager for an Accounts Assistant. This is a hands-on role; if you prefer sitting back and delegating, this may not be the right fit.
Responsibilities
* Take full control of the credit control function and shape it into an effective process.
* Chase debts, reduce aged debt, and improve cashflow.
* Tighten up processes and implement proper policies.
* Produce straightforward credit reports for senior management (without excessive spreadsheets).
* Manage and support a Purchase Ledger Assistant.
* Build relationships with customers and colleagues to ensure timely actions.
* Be the go-to person for all things credit control.

* Experience in credit control at a senior level with demonstrated results.
* Comfort with involvement in purchase ledger as a point of escalation.
* A natural organizer who can identify and fix messy processes.
* Confident dealing with customers who are not always punctual with payments.
* Ability to make decisions without needing frequent permissions.
