Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Social Worker to join the Support and Safeguarding Team. This is a vital role working with children, families, and partner agencies to ensure that safeguarding and support needs are met effectively.
As a Senior Social Worker, you will hold a complex caseload, provide supervision and support to less experienced colleagues, and ensure high standards of practice are maintained within the team.
Key Responsibilities
* Undertake complex casework, including child protection investigations, care proceedings, and looked-after children cases.
* Develop and implement effective care plans in partnership with children, families, and multi-agency networks.
* Provide professional guidance, support, and supervision to social workers and support staff within the team.
* Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, departmental policies, and safeguarding procedures.
Requirements
* Qualified Social Worker with current Social Work England registration.
* Substantial post-qualifying experience in children's social care, specifically safeguarding and support.
* Strong understanding of relevant legislation, statutory guidance, and best practice in safeguarding.
* Ability to manage a complex caseload and provide supervision to others.
* Enhanced DBS clearance (Child Workforce & Barred List).
