About the Role
:
As a Facilities Operative you will be working in Luton on our Housing Multiple Occupants contract, providing a stable and profitable contract, delivering excellent service and support through our local teams, who understand the importance of working together for the local community.
A Facilities Operative within Luton and will Carry out tasks in accordance with standard operating procedures to ensure commercial requirements for number of visits, quality, service user satisfaction, cost and timing are met. Working within a controlled H&S environment.
1. Carry out tasks in accordance with standard operating procedures to ensure commercial requirements for number of visits, quality, service user satisfaction, cost and timing are met. Working within a controlled H&S environment.
2. Seek authorisation from relevant office based approver before proceeding if work required differs from works order, and document in full any additional works carried out to ensure correct charges can be applied.
3. Utilise existing stock or collect materials as and when required to meet works orders, in accordance with standard operating procedures for purchasing and van stock control compliance
4. Complete and maintain all paperwork & electronic data records relevant to work carried out, to ensure completion is confirmed and a comprehensive and accurate history is available for audit, quality, health & safety and charging purposes
5. Able and willing to attend training sessions.
6. Adopt a professional manner when communicating with service users and/or client/external contacts to build and maintain a positive view of Mears Group. This includes but is not limited to appearance, company ID, communication.
7. Highlight any safeguarding concerns to the relevant customer and community officer within branch as early as possible to ensure they liaise with the client in accordance with the safeguarding policy.
8. If applicable, use and maintain company vehicle/van in accordance with company vehicle & insurance policies in order to ensure safety, compliance, accurate and timely reporting of damage, cleanliness & condition (inside and out). This includes but is not limited to daily photographic recording of condition

14. Good Knowledge of Health and Safety
