Our Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeships

Our apprenticeships allow you to study for industry-recognised qualifications whilst earning a competitive salary. As an apprentice, you will study with a training provider, such as a college, and combine this experience with real responsibilities in the workplace. Your study pattern could be day or block release, or via distance learning, depending on the course that you enrol on. A dedicated mentor will guide you through your personal and professional development. Level 4 3 Advanced Apprenticeships have a typical duration of two or three years, during which you will attain both a professional and academic qualification to further your career. Our apprentices are employed on a permanent basis, so you'll continue to progress with Arup once you've completed your course .

The Opportunity

Civil Engineering Technician Level 3 Apprenticeship

Y ou will join a team of engineers, scientists and other professionals, in our Energy, Water and Resources Team, to assess, design and supervise civil engineering works. You'll work on a wide range of projects, across a number of sectors, including water, energy, site development, highways and rail. The projects and designs will come in all shapes and sizes, from local projects that shape the places we live and work, to national projects that impact at a national level. Our role will vary too, from things like flood risk a ssessment and drainage design, to engineering construction and utility infrastructure.

You r role will involve 2D/3D drafting, modelling and drawing of various engineering elements to c ommunicate these designs to colleagues, design te ams, and regulatory bodies. Y ou will help us to deliver effective and professional services for a range of varied and high-profile clients .

As part of your apprenticeship, you'll study towards a Level 3 qualification in Civil Engineering with one of our local partner colleges. You will also be expected to work towards your Professional Qualification and acceptance into the Institute of Civil Engineers as an EngTech MICE.

We are looking for candidates with five or more National 5 / GCSE Standard qualifications at grade C / 4 or above including Maths (Grade B / 6 or above), English and Science or their equivalent.
