Job Description:
We are seeking a Part-Time Auditor in the UK to conduct on-site Factory / Compliance Audits at factories and warehouses on an assignment basis. The technician will be responsible for performing audits, ensuring compliance with checklists, and preparing detailed reports based on findings. This role requires a good understanding of quality standards, attention to detail, and willingness to travel as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct on-site audits of manufacturing facilities to assess compliance with labor rights, health and safety, environmental standards, and other applicable regulations or client-specific requirements.
* Prepare detailed audit reports outlining findings, non-compliance issues, and recommended corrective actions.
* Review key documentation, such as employment contracts, payroll records, and working hours, to verify legal and ethical compliance.
* Remain vigilant during audits, identify violations, and engage professionally with factory management.
* Conduct confidential interviews with employees to gather insights on working conditions and labor practices.
Qualifications and Requirements:
* Experience in audits (ISO, SA8000) or similar roles is preferred.
* Understanding of quality standards and audit procedures.
* Ability to work independently with attention to detail.
* Strong report writing skills and proficiency with digital documentation tools.
* Willingness to travel as per project requirements.
* Flexible availability based on project needs.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Background in manufacturing, logistics, or related industries.
* Experience with quality checklists and reporting tools.
* Effective communication of findings with different teams.
