Childrens Public Health Nursing Services aims to ensure that all children, young people and families in North East Lincolnshire receive the full service offer (The Healthy Child Programme 0-19).
This includes universal access and early identification of additional and/or complex needs, with timely access to specialist services, to secure local services that enable Health Visiting and School Nursing teams in partnership to contribute to improve our outcomes and reduce health inequalities for children, young people and families.

* Contribute to the delivery of a 0-19 years programme with specific focus on the delivery of the Health Visitor-led Healthy Child Programme 0-5 years
* Management and continuing responsibility for a designated caseload within an agreed caseload model for children aged 0-5 years and their families requiring community, universal, partnership and partnership plus interventions.
* Prioritisation of conflicting demands
* Work as part of a multi-disciplinary/agency team with allied health and social care professionals, individual clients, groups and communities.
* Manage caseloads including vulnerable children and attend Child Protection case conferences.
* Act as Nurse Prescriber (if qualified).

Person Specification
Experience
* Effective relationship management across multi agency/multi-disciplinary teams e.g. Senior management, schools, voluntary sector organisations and partner agencies
* Delivery of targeted outcomes and objectives against deadlines and within budget
* Understanding of performance objectives to devise action plans to meet health needs
Qualifications
* 1st level Registered Nurse/midwife
* Registered Health Visitor, Post Registration Health Visitor Certificate/
* Diploma/BSc (Hons)Degree
* Maintain registration with the Nursing Midwifery Council, notifying team leader of renewals
* Documented evidence of continuous professional development
* Prescriber
* Recognised child protection qualification (ENB 970 or equivalent)
* Evidence of further qualification in respect of child health e.g. family planning/child safeguarding/infant feeding/CBT/perinatalmental health etc.
