We are partnering with a leading independent accountancy firm in Stoke to recruit an Audit Senior.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated audit professional to take a client-facing role, lead audit engagements, and develop their career within a supportive and collaborative firm.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage audit engagements from planning to completion, ensuring accuracy, quality, and compliance with auditing standards.
Prepare and review accounts, audit files, and reports, highlighting key findings and recommendations.
Build and maintain strong client relationships, providing professional and timely support.
Supervise and mentor junior and semi-senior staff, fostering a culture of learning and accountability.
Support business development initiatives by identifying opportunities to add value to clients.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
ACA, ACCA, or AAT qualified (or studying towards qualification)
Previous experience in audit within a professional practice
Knowledge of UK accounting and auditing standards (FRS & IFRS)
Excellent client management and communication skills
Experience leading and mentoring junior audit staff
Familiarity with accounting software such as Sage, Xero, QuickBooks, or IRIS is a plus
