About The Role
The Head of Clinical Services has a key leadership, assurance, and management role at a senior level, providing clinical skills and knowledge to support the organisation in its delivery of care to patients. The post holder plays a core role in delivering high standards of clinical care, ensuring an environment conducive to the well-being of staff and patients, and contributing to effective budget management. As a clinical leader, the Head of Clinical Services is responsible for training and development within the scope of clinical practice at Practice Plus Group Southampton Hospital, Urgent Treatment Centre, and other satellite sites, promoting high standards of care and clinical practice development.

What you'll be doing
* Working with the Hospital Director to organise clinical strategies and models of care, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, patient-focused, safe, and effective care that meets the highest clinical standards and outcomes. Ensuring patients receive excellent clinical outcomes and high satisfaction.
* Assisting the Group Director of Nursing in developing and implementing a robust clinical governance framework, including monitoring clinical outcomes, analysing data for KPIs, Clinical Risk, and Audit as part of the Practice Plus Group Governance programme.
* Planning and implementing patient-centred healthcare as part of a multi-professional team, taking overall clinical responsibility for all clinical staff.
What we’ll look for in you
* A professional and compassionate leader who maintains professional standards and supports staff development through training, competency assessments, and personal development reviews.
* NMC Registered Nurse Part 1 or HCPC registration
* Degree in a related subject and commitment to ongoing professional development
* Extensive experience in general clinical management
* Strong understanding of the quality and governance agenda and its challenges
