About The Role Our multi-disciplinary design, engineering and project delivery teams have a long history of delivering projects across the UK. We work with some of the most visionary clients in the sector, whose focus is on learning and rehabilitation as well as safety and security. As such, we are looking for a CDM Manager with experience in managing design or acting as a CDM Principal Designer on medium-size projects or managing packages on large projects. You will also provide training and advice on CDM good practice and compliance to BakerHicks designers and project managers and manage all aspects of CDM Principal Designer services on projects (including time, cost, quality and client relationship management and delivery). What You Will Do Provide Principal Designer services on behalf of BakerHicks under the direction of the line manager/Project Manager. Confirm CDM duty holders and responsibilities for the project. Existing site information (PCI) - review, advice and coordination Facilitate CDM reviews with the design team. Initiate, update and re-issue CDM Reg 9 Risk Register About You Being self-motivated, able to take initiative and experienced in obtaining the necessary information, You will have experience working in a multi-disciplinary environment Chartered Architect/Engineer or equivalent relevant Professional body You will have experience in Construction UK Health and Safety legislation Hold a relative degree and be chartered or working towards this Key Purpose Act as Principal Designer on assigned projects and ensure compliance with requirements of CDM 2015 Regulations Provide training and advice on CDM good practice and compliance to BakerHicks designers and project managers Facilitate regular CDM Reviews with design disciplines on assigned projects Management of all aspects of CDM principal Designer services on projects, including time, cost, quality and client relationship management and delivery Many of the positions within our company are subject to security clearance.
