Full Time Press Operator required for our busy rubber moulding manufacturing company in Henfield, West Sussex. We are a family run UK manufacturer of small rubber components.
Overall purpose:
As a Press Operator, you will be integral to the manufacturing process, responsible for operating and maintaining press machinery to produce high-quality rubber components. Reporting to the Factory Supervisor and Production Manager. Your expertise in hand tools, materials handling, and basic math will support your role.
Main Responsibilities:
Working in line with our ISO 9001:2015 Quality Policy, Employee Handbook and Environmental Policy, ensuring that productivity is priority.
* Operate and monitor press machines to ensure quality production of moulded parts.
* Moulding, sorting and trimming of products in line with batch code system.
* Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow.
* Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment.
* Handling of raw material.
* Reaching daily production targets and meeting production deadlines.
These duties will be reviewed periodically and amended to the needs of the business and progression of the role.
Key Skills & Behaviours:
The right candidate will have the ability to use initiative and common sense. You will be proactive, reliable and punctual. Good interpersonal and communication skills. Flexibility, and willingness to "get stuck in". Sound organisational skills and ability to plan, prioritise and adapt to changing demands. Previous experience in working with mills / lathes and a workshop environment would be ideal. There would be an option to expand upon this in the future for a candidate with the willingness to learn and progress.
Hours & Other Information:
* The position is 4 days a week 7am to 5pm, Monday to Thursday.
* Total 40 hours per week.
* Paid lunch break.
* 16 days paid holiday per annum plus paid bank holidays.

* Permanent position offered upon successful completion of 3 month trial period.
* Paid trial days will be offered in the first stages and interview process.
