Qualified Social Worker – Duty and Assessment Team - Nottingham - £35 ph
* Location: Mainly remote - Nottingham - 1 week out of every 4 in the office
* Salary: £35ph
* Contract: Full Time / Temporary
About the team:
Nottingham City is seeking an experienced Children’s Social Worker to join their fast-paced Duty & Assessment Team. This role involves progressing children’s assessments and managing a range of cases including Children in Need (CIN), Child Protection (CP), and Children Looked After (CLA).
You will work on a structured four‑week cycle – one week on duty followed by three weeks to progress allocated work. Mainly working from home, but need to attend visits if required.
Key Responsibilities:
* Complete timely and robust assessments in line with statutory requirements
* Manage cases across CIN, CP, CLA, including taking cases to Initial Child Protection Conference (ICPC), attend and present at Looked After Child (LAC) Reviews
* Prepare and progress court applications as required
* Work closely with children, families, and multi‑agency professionals to improve outcomes
* Maintain accurate case notes and adhere to key performance indicators
