Make a difference every day with PDSA
About Us
Join us to help keep even more people and pets together when times are tough. For over a century, PDSA have provided vital veterinary care for the pets of people in financial hardship.
We’re now on a journey to expand our reach to support even more people and their beloved pets. To achieve this ambitious goal, we need passionate and driven individuals who are ready to embrace change and help shape a future-focused PDSA. Together, we'll build a stronger organisation to ensure our services help those who need us most for the next hundred years.
If you're ready to make a real difference and be part of a team that's creating positive change, we want you to join us. Let's build a brighter future for pets and their owners, together.
About you
We’re looking for a Charity Shop Manager to lead our friendly team at PDSA Lochee, Dundee. If you enjoy being around people, have strong interpersonal skills and a real passion for retail, this could be the perfect next step. You’ll thrive in a busy, customer-focused environment where you can combine your retail flair with a genuine desire to make a difference for pets and their owners.
You’ll take responsibility for running our Lochee, Dundee PDSA shop day to day, supervising one other colleague and a team of volunteers to create a great shopping experience and maximise sales and profit. You’ll lead by example on customer service, merchandising, stock rotation and use of financial and competitor data, always looking for ways to improve. You’ll also champion the PDSA name in the local community, using your knowledge of the area and your networks to generate both item and cash donations and raise awareness of the charity.
You’ll be an experienced, results-focused retailer with a proven track record of delivering objectives and profit targets. You’ll know what great customer service looks like and will enjoy coaching, recruiting and training your team, including volunteers, to be the best they can be. Self-motivated, organised and people-focused, you’ll relish the opportunity to run your own shop while sharing your knowledge and best practice with a small cluster of other PDSA Shop Managers so they can achieve the same high standards.
Above all, you’ll be passionate about PDSA’s work and proud to represent our charity with every customer interaction.
