Our projects include everything from large industrial and commercial schemes to smaller bespoke schemes working for interesting clients including car manufacturers, Formula 1 teams, universities, contractors, private developers, and local authorities. As a Structural Engineer based at our Oxford head office with a Civil and Structural team of 25 and over 250 total staff covering a wide range of disciplines in property and construction, you will be responsible for providing a wide range of Structural engineering services under the direction of the Team Manager. Production of Structural Engineering work packages from initial concept through to completion Production of calculations packages for Building Control submission Undertake survey inspections and produce written reports in good English on findings, set out in a logical manner with appropriate recommendations Work closely with other disciplines on multi-discipline projects Represent the company at external meetings with clients, contractors, and fellow professionals Be responsible for delivering work to a fee and to timescales agreed Prepare client / project proposals Agree design philosophy / design fundamentals To be considered for this role you must possess / be able to evidence: Be a graduate with a good degree in structural engineering. Member of Institution of Civil Engineers or Institution of Structural Engineers. Minimum 2 years design office experience. A good understanding of regulatory requirements. Proficiency in use of design software such as Tekla, Tedds, SCIA, and Masterseries Familiarity with drawing packages, including Revit and AutoCAD and Bluebeam Excellent communication skills, in both written and spoken English Hold a current UK driving licence
