Description
Moorland Cottage is a two‑bed, Ofsted registered children’s home providing immediate intervention and trauma‑informed therapeutic support. Over a 12‑week placement, our young people receive security, support and stabilisation in a nurturing and peaceful environment. Every placement offers PACE principle residential care, access to education and participation in outdoor/adventure activities.
Hours
4 days on with sleep nights, 6 days off (365 rota)
Pay
£43,740 to £48,186 per annum, including opportunities to pick up overtime at an enhanced rate (rates applicable from April 2026).

Qualifications & Requirements
* A minimum 12 months experience in a children’s residential care home
* A Level 3 (or above) diploma in residential childcare, or be close to completion
* A full driving licence issued in the UK
* A keen interest in outdoor and adventure activities
* Applicants must have full right to work in the UK with no restrictions
* In‑depth knowledge of Ofsted regulations, expectations and best practice
* Training and experience in de‑escalation, safe restraint and physical intervention (e.g., Team Teach, MAPA)
* Values in line with Esland’s therapeutic, person‑centred approach to childcare
* Due to industry regulations, applicants must be aged 21 or above
