Job Title: Lead Clinician – Practitioner Psychologist
Location: Bluebank School – Derbyshire S41 8LQ
Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 FTE DOE
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Contract: Permanent (Term time only, or flexibility around a full-time contract can be discussed based on your personal circumstances)
Essential: HCPC registration, full valid UK driving licence, and access to own vehicle
The role:
We are looking for a Lead Clinician - Practitioner Psychologist to manage our in-house Clinical Team at Bluebank School in Derbyshire. The postholder will work collaboratively with the school’s Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and the Regional Clinical Lead. The role involves clinically leading the team and managing a therapy caseload, delivering assessments and interventions for students with complex needs related to autism, neurodivergence, trauma, and SEMH. The postholder will coordinate line management of the clinical team and lead service development alongside the SLT and Regional Clinical Lead.

We uphold a strong safeguarding culture, ensuring pupils are heard, respected, and involved in decisions affecting them. We aim for excellence and use innovative approaches to improve outcomes and quality of life for pupils.
Location: Bluebank School – Derbyshire S41 8LQ – part of our Acorn Education brand, supporting young people aged 11–16. Opening Spring 2026.

Essential Criteria:
* Doctorate or BPS stage 2 qualification; must be a registered psychologist with HCPC.
* Valid and current professional registration and membership (e.g., BPS).
* Experience working with autistic individuals and/or those with complex needs.
* Strong report writing skills related to clinical and research activities.
* Experience providing supervision and supporting a therapy team.
* Ability to work independently and dynamically within a growing clinical service.
* Experience of multi-professional work within the designated specialty (preferred).
* Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle.
