The Morgan Stanley Wealth Management UX team builds digital experiences that help clients manage their finances and monitor their investments easily on the Morgan Stanley and E*TRADE platforms.
We employ design thinking methods and user‑centered approaches to solve real business problems.
What You’ll Do In The Role
* Work closely with the UX lead to execute the product vision and participate in every step of the end‑to‑end product design process.
* Understand the underlying needs and motivations of our clients to ensure we achieve business goals and provide value.
* Craft intuitive and elegant experiences that empower clients to make confident financial decisions.
* Collaborate with the research team to synthesize qualitative and quantitative data and make value‑driven design decisions that translate into clear, simple UIs.
* Create and present a variety of design deliverables (sketches, wireframes, user flows, prototypes) to engender confidence in your solutions.
* Form holistic solutions that integrate seamlessly into our wealth‑management product ecosystem.
* Design and deliver responsive/adaptive solutions optimized for web and mobile interfaces and partner with engineers to translate designs into successful products.
* Collaborate with the larger Wealth Management UX team to share design best practices, align on patterns, and promote a design‑centric culture at the firm.
* Advocate for all user abilities by testing deliverables to meet WCAG and ADA compliance.
What You’ll Bring To The Role
* Outstanding portfolio demonstrating experiences that solved business and user needs.
* 2‑5 years of experience as a UX designer who contributed to successful launch of products.
* Bachelor’s degree in design or related field (master’s preferred).
* Excellent proficiency in Figma.
* Experience designing intuitive interfaces that enhance user experience and drive customer engagement.
* Ability to leverage research, wireframes, and prototypes to validate and enhance design concepts.
* Collaborative, explorative mindset valuing diverse team brainstorms and feedback.
* Active listening skills and contribution in group situations (brainstorms, audits, critiques, whiteboard sessions).
* Excitement for complex projects with high ambiguity and resilience in the face of obstacles.
