Job Description: We are seeking a skilled and motivated Scientist to join our dynamic team in the Combination and Physical Testing Department. As a Scientist, you will play a pivotal role in performing medical devices testing and ensuring we always carry out our tasks to a high standard of work for our clients. You will be responsible for testing and project related documentation as well as completing and updating internal documentation. Testing & Data Management · Conduct laboratory testing on medical and combination devices according to approved protocols and test methods. · Ensure all work is performed in accordance with ISO standards, SOPs, and the company’s Quality Management System. · Accurately record experimental data, complete data sheets, and the drafting of test reports. · Operate laboratory equipment responsibly, performing calibration where required. · Perform routine monitoring of environmental equipment (e.g., ovens, fridges, incubators) and log results. · Support the development, optimisation, and validation of new test methods in line with client requirements and ISO standards. · Use Pryme to accurately log time against Projects. Compliance and Documentation · Follow Health & Safety policies and safe working practices at all times. · Ensure compliance with internal quality procedures and assist in audit preparation and readiness. · Support the review and maintenance of test-related documentation, including protocols, work instructions, and SOPs. Communication and Collaboration · Liaise with colleagues across the team and other departments (including the group) to support timely and accurate delivery of projects. · Respond to client queries as needed. · Communicate clearly with the team regarding test status, delays, or unexpected results. · Support the creation of technical marketing materials under guidance, such as web pages or blog posts. Continuous Improvement · Participate in ongoing efforts to improve testing workflows, efficiency, and documentation. · Stay updated of applicable changes to standards, methods, or equipment relevant to the department. Experience and Qualifications: You will have an engineering or physics degree or equivalent relevant experience Strong communication, problem solving and organisational skills. Knowledge of ISO standards beneficial. Commitment to safety and compliance with laboratory regulations. Experience creating engineering solutions an advantage. GMP experience desired.
