Location: St Leonards-on-Sea Hours: Monday–Friday, 40 hours per week Contract: Permanent Our engineering client is seeking a skilled CNC Lathe Turner to join their precision manufacturing team. This role involves programming (preferred but not essential), setting and operating CNC lathes producing high-quality components in a range of specialist materials. Key Responsibilities Programming (where applicable), setting and operating CNC sliding-head and multi-axis fixed-head lathes Producing precision components from stainless steel, aluminium and exotic metals Machining bar diameters ranging from approximately 1mm to 200mm Interpreting engineering drawings and ensuring strict quality standards Optimising machining processes for efficiency and accuracy Maintaining safe working practices and equipment care Skills & Experience Required Proven CNC turning experience in a precision engineering environment Strong setting and operating capability; programming experience advantageous Familiarity with Fanuc controls highly desirable Experience working with a variety of metals including stainless steel, aluminium and exotic alloys Ability to work accurately to tight tolerances Reliable, detail-focused team player with good problem-solving skills What’s on Offer Permanent, full-time weekday position (40 hours) Stable opportunity within a reputable engineering environment Varied technical work with modern CNC equipment Supportive team and opportunities for ongoing development
