Web Designer – £18 Per Hour - Inside IR35 - 6 Month Contract – Hybrid based in London - Education / Arts & Culture
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Web Editor to support a global Cultural Engagement portfolio. This role is ideal for someone with 3–7 years’ experience within the Education and/or Arts and Culture sectors who is passionate about creating high‑quality, audience‑focused digital content.
You will play a key role in delivering and enhancing online content, ensuring that a large global web estate remains current, engaging, and aligned with organisational goals. Working closely with marketing teams and programme leads across an international network, you will help craft compelling narratives that resonate with diverse audiences worldwide.
This role sits firmly within a marketing and digital context and requires strong editorial judgment, excellent organisational skills, and confidence working across multiple stakeholders and deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, edit, and maintain high‑quality content across a global web estate, ensuring clarity, consistency, and engagement
Collaborate with subject matter experts to produce accurate, relevant, and audience‑focused content
Apply SEO and digital best practices to optimise content visibility and user experience
Monitor website performance using analytics tools and make data‑driven recommendations
Conduct regular audits of existing content to ensure accuracy, relevance, and alignment with organisational objectives
Stay informed of emerging trends in education technology and digital content
Build strong working relationships with stakeholders across departments to support collaborative projectsEssential Experience & Skills
3–7 years’ experience in web editing or content management within Education and/or Arts and Culture
Proven ability to create, edit, and manage high‑quality web content aligned with organisational goals
Strong understanding of SEO best practices and digital marketing principles
Experience using content management systems such as WordPress or Drupal
Familiarity with analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics) to assess and improve content performance
Excellent written communication skills with a strong eye for detail, grammar, and style
Ability to adapt content for diverse, international audiences
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects to tight deadlines
Collaborative working style with confidence providing constructive feedback
