Position: Senior Portfolio Accountant
Location: Hybrid – London/Vauxhall(SW8) twice a week
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 09:00 – 17:30.

Key Responsibilities and Requirements:
1. Maintain accurate, compliant accounting records across property portfolios, including year-end accounts, cost reallocations, and variance analysis.
2. Prepare profit & loss accounts, balance sheets, statutory accounts, and other financial reports for internal stakeholders, boards, and external auditors.
3. Lead and manage audits, liaising with external auditors, approving draft accounts, and supporting the filing of statutory accounts.
4. Monitor cash flow, manage creditors, and oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance reporting.
5. Manage service charge accounting, including surplus/deficit reconciliations, tenant charges, demands, and ad hoc costs.
6. Provide guidance, mentoring, and support to colleagues, and assist property managers with financial queries and projects.
7. Maintain and optimise accounting systems (Propman desirable) and advanced Excel tools for reporting and analysis.
8. Operate independently within a property management environment, applying strong knowledge of service charge and property accounting principles
Previous experience will include:
9. Recognised accounting qualification or part-qualified (CIMA, ACCA, AAT) or equivalent experience.
10. Significant experience in an accounting role within the property sector.
11. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly.
12. Strong IT and numeracy skills, with advanced proficiency in Excel.
13. Experience using accounting systems; familiarity with Propman is desirable but not essential.
14. Demonstrated ability to understand, interpret, and prepare complex reports and plans, including financial reporting, budgeting, works scheduling, workload allocation, and performance planning.
