VELUX Commercial is a new division in the VELUX Group, established in 2019 and comprises the former JET, Vitral, VELUX Modular Skylights and COXDOME organisations. Today, VELUX Commercial operates as one company with more than 1100 people in 11 countries and offers to support building professionals throughout the entire process from specification to delivery and maintenance of daylight and ventilation solutions for industrial, commercial, and public buildings.
The Estimator supports both internal and external sales teams by expertly managing quotations and customer interactions for our range of Structural Glazing products. This role is a 8 months maternity cover with a temporary contract
This role involves engaging with customers to clarify requirements, in order to prepare accurate quotations. It also includes providing basic technical assistance and handling general sales administration to ensure smooth project execution and customer satisfaction.
Your challenges
In this role, you will join our VELUX Commercial Sales Operations team in GB&I, which is dedicated to putting the needs of our customers first. What You Will be Doing:
1. Work closely with the Inside and external sales teams.
2. Become an expert in quoting our range of Structural Glazing products.
3. Engage with customers upon receipt of quote requests to clarify their requirements and establish necessary return dates.
4. Prepare and finalise quotations prior to sending them to customers.
5. Effectively manage project margins.
6. Manage incoming enquiries using the company CRM system.
7. General sales administration as required.
8. Offer a basic level of technical assistance to architects, main contractors and end users.
9. Handling/making incoming/outgoing phone calls, emails and postal enquiries to/from Architects & Main Contractors. Responding to enquiries or passing relevant information to the internal and external sales teams.
10. Carry out any other tasks as may be reasonably requested in relation to your role.

Essential Criteria
11. ‘A’ level education (or equivalent)
12. Highly organised and self-disciplined with excellent planning skills and the ability to focus on the right things at the right time
13. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
14. Ability to develop professional working relationships at all levels
15. Strong computer literacy skills; Microsoft Office Packages or similar
16. Ability to effectively manage key stakeholders within a global matrix organization
17. Robust and resilient attitude towards challenges and change
