Job Description
Purpose of the role To provide a high level of support and co‑ordination to ComSet by managing the day‑to‑day activities of the administration team. Ensuring that the team meets all of its core targets and training junior team members as appropriate.
Responsibilities
* Acting on instructions, whether verbal, by email or hand written in a pro‑active and timely manner and following up queries
* Able to act as first point of contact for client and third party telephone calls, new client enquiries, dealing with queries where able and forwarding detailed accurate messages
* Responsible for legal billing including automated, manual and group billing ensuring quarterly and annual targets are met
* Delegating tasks within the team and training administrators on systems and processes
* Preparation of standard correspondence and documentation, regular photocopying and scanning of documents
* File opening - including money laundering administration and general file management
* File closure - checking financial printout to ensure clear of outstanding disbursements, WIP, client money, liaising with lawyer as appropriate
* Collating information, chasing claims handlers and co‑ordinating workloads within the administration team
* Undertake any other duties as required, commensurate with the level of the post including transactional work provided by lawyers such as instructing claims inspectors and issuing proceedings
