Job overview Practices as a HCPC registered Biomedical Scientist in Biochemistry and Immunology and highly specialised Neurobiochemistry and Neuroimmunology technical activities. To be responsible for the functioning of the rostered section of the Neurobiochemistry / Neuroimmunology Laboratory. Neurobiochemistry and Neuroimmunology comprise standard biochemistry and immunological techniques as well as highly specialist ones, which are often very complex requiring high specialist skills. Some of these techniques have been developed in house and in some cases we act as a national or international reference centre. The post holder will provide day to day supervision of Neurobiochemistry Biobank within the Liverpool Neuroscience Biobank at the Walton Centre (LNBW), participating in practical aspects as required. Advert To be responsible for the delivery of service for the rostered section within the Neurobiochemistry / Neuroimmunology department which, includes routine biochemical analysis and immunochemical assay, protein separation, drug analysis, basic and highly specialist spectrophotometric, immunoelectrophoresis and neuroimmunological techniques.
