Rate of Pay: £25.18 - £31.95 per hour
Summary:
An opportunity has arisen within Walsall Safeguarding and Review for a Coordinator to chair Child Protection Conferences and undertake Independent Reviewing Officer (IRO) responsibilities for Children in Care. The role also includes quality assurance to ensure high standards of practice and positive outcomes for children.
Responsibilities:
* Chair Child Protection Conferences in line with statutory guidance
* Undertake IRO responsibilities for Children in Care
* Provide quality assurance to ensure services meet high standards
* Monitor and challenge care planning to improve outcomes for children
* Work collaboratively with professionals, children, and families
* Contribute to service development and continuous improvement
Qualifications:
* Qualified Social Worker with relevant professional registration
Essential Requirements:
* Minimum 5 years post-qualifying experience
* Substantial experience working with children and families
* Managerial or supervisory experience, including supervision of students or less experienced staff (as per IRO Handbook, Regulation 46)
* Strong knowledge of child protection and safeguarding legislation
* Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in spoken English
