We are seeking a motivated and confident English Graduate Cover Supervisor to support teaching and learning across a secondary school. This role involves supervising classes in the absence of the class teacher, delivering pre-prepared English lessons, and ensuring a positive and productive learning environment.
This is an excellent opportunity for graduates considering a future PGCE or teacher training route, offering valuable classroom experience in a secondary setting.
Key Responsibilities
* Supervise English lessons across KS3 and KS4 using set work
* Manage classroom behaviour and engage students in learning
* Support pupils to stay on task and meet lesson objectives
* Follow school policies on behaviour, safeguarding, and attendance
* Provide feedback to teaching staff where required
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
* A degree in English or a related subject
* Confidence working with groups of up to 30 students
* Strong communication and organisational skills
* A professional, calm, and proactive approach
* A genuine interest in education and teaching
