Commutable to Horsforth, Leeds (minimum 3 times/week)
£30,000 - £45,000 plus commission
If you're sick of the "dial-and-smile" approach and chasing targets that feel totally disconnected from quality, listen up.
First, here's some of the good stuff. Our office is in central Horsforth—a stone's throw from all the bars, shops, and transport links. We're small, but we punch well above our weight. That means no corners cut when it comes to your tech stack – we see our role as being to support you, not hold you back. And we're so confident in our commission structure that we're certain if you're a regular biller, you'll be taking home more than you are now.
We're 1485, and we do things differently. We work in two incredibly niche, high-value sectors within Food, Beverage, and Nutrition – the world of
scaling brands
is where this role will sit. We don't just fill seats; we build partnerships that last. Our entire model is based on precision, quality, and long-term impact. If your recruitment style is thoughtful, strategic, and advisory, you're in the right place.
What The Job Really Is
You won't be micro-managed into hitting a call count. But in owning the whole lifecycle, you'll be going out and winning exclusive or retained business—the quality stuff that's actually worth your time. You'll be the person clients and candidates turn to for genuine advice, not just a service. You'll become that trusted career and talent advisor who truly understands what people and businesses need to grow.
Your days will be largely focused on strategic engagement. You're designing smart search strategies, and you're writing the compelling story in the job ad that stops the right person from scrolling. You need to be sharp enough to look ahead, spot a potential problem (like a counter-offer situation), and get ahead of it
before
it becomes a showstopper.
You'll also get the chance to be a thought leader. We want you out there (online and at events) building your personal credibility and sharing genuine insights about your market. This is a massively competitive market and you'll need to attract people to you because of the value you offer.
What We Need in You
Honestly? This would probably suit someone with a few professional scars. Maybe someone who's seen a high-volume, "see what sticks" environment and knows there's a better way. Maybe someone who's been micromanaged to within an inch of their life and doesn't need the constant "direction" anymore. Maybe someone who in reality is ready to go it alone, but doesn't want the loneliness or all the additional pressures of self-employed life – they just want to recruit and reap the rewards.
Maybe you fit into one of the above profiles, maybe you don't – they're just examples. But we'll need to see 3+ years of experience in a white-collar, low-volume recruitment environment as a minimum, along with an interest in the scaling brands world – you might not be an expert (yet), but you'll probably watch Dragons' Den and take note when a new brand appears in your local supermarket, if only to try it out...
Just as important as your CV is your attitude. You're:
* Genuine and Authentic
. You build trust by just being yourself. You know you can't please everyone, but you focus on the relationships that matter.
* Resilient.
You know recruitment is a rollercoaster. You have that famous "bouncebackability"—a tough day doesn't mean a tough week for everyone around you.
* A Precision Player
. Highly organised, focused on detail, and always prepared. You inspire confidence because you never look like you're scrambling.
* Brave, but Humble
. You'll take intelligent risks and play to win, but you leave the bravado at the door. Confidence is great; a big ego isn't.
* Naturally Curious
. You always want to learn, improve your strategy, and contribute to the team's knowledge.
If this sounds like the kind of grown-up, value-driven recruitment environment you've been looking for, let's talk.
Due to some well-earned holidays, applicants w/c 29th September won't get an immediate response, but we promise we'll be back to you w/c 6th October.
