Early Years Educator - Baby Room We are seeking an experienced, dedicated and enthusiastic Level 3 Early Years Educator to join our team in our newly opening Baby Room at our Hampson Park setting in Stevenage. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about caring for babies and supporting their early development in a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment. As a key member of our early years team, you will provide high-quality care and education for children aged 0 to 2 years, following the EYFS framework and supporting each child’s individual development. You will act as a key worker, observing, assessing, and celebrating children’s progress, while building strong and trusting relationships with parents and carers. Key Responsibilities • Ensuring the baby room is a safe, clean, and welcoming environment, maintaining high standards of hygiene, safety, and organisation • Planning and delivering age-appropriate, stimulating activities that support babies’ development • Supporting children’s personal, emotional, and physical development, including feeding routines, sleep routines, and early independence • Maintaining accurate records, including daily registers, learning journals, accident/incident logs, and GDPR-compliant documentation • Preparing bottles, meals, and snacks, ensuring dietary, allergy, and cultural requirements are met • Working closely with colleagues, parents, and management to provide consistent and high-quality care This Role Is Ideal for Someone Who: • Holds a Level 3 Early Years qualification • Has a minimum of 2 years’ experience working in a baby room with children aged 0–2 years • Demonstrates strong practical childcare and playwork skills with babies • Communicates effectively and works collaboratively with children, parents, and colleagues • Understands and is committed to safeguarding, inclusion, and equal opportunities • Maintains confidentiality and adheres to GDPR policies • Is committed to delivering high-quality Early Years education and care Desirable: • Current Paediatric First Aid qualification • Current Basic Food Hygiene certificate We Offer: • A supportive and professional team environment • Opportunities to develop your skills and progress within Early Years • A welcoming, child-centred setting where your contribution is valued • Ongoing training and professional development • Regular team-building events and staff activities • The opportunity to be part of an exciting new baby room from the start About Us We are a well-established private nursery with a supportive and caring team.
