This post is based in the paediatric allogeneic stem cell transplantation and advanced cellular therapies program. It will provide an additional consultant post overseeing haematological transplants (malignant and non-malignant) and work alongside the supra-regional immunodeficiency transplant team. It will also include a role in Advanced Cellular Therapies Service delivering CAR‑T therapies, as well as leukaemia work.

This is a substantive post in paediatric haematology with responsibilities in caring for children undergoing haematopoietic stem cell transplant and CAR‑T treatment as well as those with leukaemia. The candidate must be able to evidence relevant expertise and training. The post is open to those who hold FRCPath (or equivalent) and have relevant paediatric experience, and to candidates who have trained as paediatricians and can demonstrate relevant training in haematology, bone marrow transplantation and cellular therapies.
Responsibilities
* Caring for children undergoing haematopoietic stem cell transplant and CAR‑T treatment.
* Providing clinical input to the paediatric stem cell transplant programme, including on‑call cover.
* Delivering leukaemia care as part of the paediatric haematology service.
* Contributing to teaching, education, research and audit.
Qualifications and Requirements
* Registered medical practitioner.
* FRCPath (or equivalent) and relevant paediatric experience.
* Training in haematology, bone marrow transplantation and cellular therapies.
* Eligible to join the Specialist Register within six months of the date of the Appointments Committee.
