Join CAE’s Simulator Technician team based in Burgess Hill, working on the most advanced simulators in the world. Due to the unrivalled range of simulators at our training centre, your role will be incredibly varied, giving you the opportunity to work on a wide range of the most modern simulators, systems, and equipment to enhance your technical knowledge.

In this role, the Simulator Technician III will be expected to:
1. Perform complex assignments in office, on site, field, and laboratory.
2. Projects may be of experimental or design nature.
3. Solve a variety of complex simulator and/or aircraft systems problems.
Key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
4. Perform preventive maintenance tasks on the simulators and associated simulator systems.
5. Assist in diagnosing and correcting problems on the simulators and associated simulator systems.
6. Diagnose and correct complex problems on the simulators and associated simulator systems.
7. Utilize maintenance management system to record and track maintenance activities.
8. Train technicians in basic skills.
9. Provide technical training for other technicians.
10. Perform pre-flight and post flight on all simulators.
11. Perform visual alignments.
12. Run and evaluate required Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Approval Test Guide (ATG)/ Qualification Test Guide (QTG) tests.
13. Assist Engineering Team with modifications, design changes, and software enhancements.
14. Perform refurbishment and hardware modifications.
15. Pursue knowledge and skills to enhance ability as a technical expert.
16. Perform software changes to correct problems on the simulators and associated simulator systems.
17. Assist Group Lead in day-to-day operation of maintenance activities.
18. Learn and comply with CAE quality management system.
19. Perform logistics duties, including parts received, repair, and testing/validation.
20. Perform tasks to support the technical services group as required.
Minimum Qualifications:
21. Minimum of 3 years direct experience working on simulators
22. Fluency in English
23. Proficiency with software diagnostics and utilities on at least 1 type of simulator.
24. Troubleshooting skills.
25. Ability to perform in-depth analysis and research for hardware modifications and upgrades.
Preferred Qualifications
26. Proficiency with a wide range of test equipment.
27. Proficiency with software diagnostics and utilities on at least one type of simulator.
28. Ability to perform in‑depth analysis and research for hardware modifications and upgrades.
29. Ability to support Engineering with modifications, design changes, and software enhancements.
30. Knowledge of Microsoft Office tools and suite.
