We have vacancies based at Queens Medical Centre and City Campus with the option to rotate after the winter season. Responsibilities
* Provide high quality, dignified care to patients in a safe environment, both autonomously and as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
* Care for acutely unwell patients with physical and mental health needs, including palliative care.
* Assist with admitting and discharging patients, and communicate with families and carers to ensure safe and timely discharge.
* Collaborate with medics, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, dietitians, advanced clinical practitioners, psychiatric nurses and discharge teams.
* Perform nursing procedures such as enteral feeding, wound management, intravenous medications, catheterisation, continence management and nutrition management.
Qualifications and skills
* Registered nurse with an active NMC pin.
* Ability to work within a team as well as autonomously; strong organisational and interpersonal skills.
* Interest in developing the service and contributing to safe discharge planning and quality patient care.
* Willingness to engage in training and support to develop skills in supporting safe and effective discharge from hospital.
