Position Overview

Amazon is looking for highly talented Senior Vendor Managers for our Home Store category in the Madrid offices. The Senior Vendor Manager will establish strong relationships with key segment manufacturers and distributors, integrate them in our logistic and catalog systems, plan the selection of seasonal collections, and manage inventory levels. Further responsibilities include coordinating marketing activities and driving projects to improve catalog quality, navigation, and customer purchasing experience.

Additionally, you will be a key member adding unique Spanish brands to our websites in Europe. The Manager will work in an international environment, primarily in English. The role is based in Madrid. Please submit an English version of your CV when applying.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive selection (direct/indirect supply, priority brands and terms)
  • Establish relationships and conclude agreements with leading brands.
  • Execute technical integration with suppliers and lead projects to source stock more efficiently, manage prices, execute promotions, and assimilate vendor catalogs.
  • Agree with vendors on promotions and marketing initiatives and coordinate with the Site Merchandising team to execute these activities.
  • Demand forecasting: create forecasts of demand based on multiple sources (local sales history, other locales data, external sources, vendor feedback).
  • In‑stock monitoring: daily monitoring of inventory levels to reduce stock‑out/overstock risk.
  • Participate in day‑to‑day operational aspects of the category, including gathering and addressing customer feedback, price monitoring, and business improvement initiatives.
  • Be an ambassador within the industry and continuously enhance Amazon’s position.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Finance, Business, Economics or other related fields.
  • Experience in account management, project/program management, or buying.
  • Experience with high‑level negotiation and successful internal and external relationship management.
  • Experience demonstrating strong analytical abilities and confidence in the use of data.
  • Speak, write, and read fluently in English; ability to take direction in English.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities.
  • Can work proactively and independently, meet deadlines, and deliver on projects and tasks.
  • Strong project management skills and ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree or above in management, business administration, economics, engineering, marketing.
  • Experience working in a fast‑paced environment similar to a high‑tech start‑up.
  • Experience in MS Access and SQL.
  • Working knowledge of additional languages.
  • Experience in people management is a nice‑to‑have.
