GSL Education are currently seeking a nurturing 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to join schools in Bognor. This role is a rewarding opportunity to provide personalised support, help pupils overcome barriers to learning, and make a real difference in their educational journey.
Role Overview:
In this 1:1 SEN TA role, you will support teachers and staff in helping pupils with a variety of additional needs. You will provide one-to-one or small group guidance, modify learning tasks, and encourage a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
As an 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:
* Support pupils with special educational needs in their academic, social, and emotional development.
* Provide one-to-one or group support tailored to individual learning needs.
* Help adapt lesson materials to ensure accessibility for all learners.
* Promote positive behaviour and engagement in learning.
* Assist with personal care needs where required.
* Maintain a safe, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment.
Requirements for 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant:
* Experience working with children with special educational needs (in school or similar settings).
* A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach to supporting pupils.
* Good communication and teamwork skills.
* Ability to adapt to different learning styles and needs.
* An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
* A full CV covering the last 10 years, with explanations for any gaps.
