Male Independent Sexual Violence Advisor (ISVA)
* 37 hours per week
* 12‑month fixed‑term contract (subject to further funding; possibility of extension)
* Location: Stoke on Trent
* Salary £27,817 – £29,520 per annum (dependent on qualifications/experience)
About Staffordshire Survive
Staffordshire Survive offers a free, non‑judgemental and confidential service for adults, children over the age of 4, and close family members/significant others who have been affected by sexual assault or abuse at any point during their lives across Staffordshire and Stoke on Trent.
Role Overview
* Provide high‑quality, victim‑survivor‑focused, trauma‑informed advocacy and advice to survivors of sexual abuse, exploitation and/or coercion in Staffordshire and Stoke on Trent.
* Work closely with, yet independently from, the Police, Victim Gateway, SARC, CPS, Witness Care, Sexual Health and NHS services, and other voluntary sector organisations to support recovery.
* Assess and support survivors’ needs, coordinate referrals, and offer ongoing counselling and support.
Qualifications & Experience
* Experience and understanding of the traumatic effects of sexual violence and knowledge of criminal justice processes.
* Full driving licence and access to a vehicle.
