About the Role
A forward-thinking secondary school in Croydon is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Computing / ICT Teacher for an immediate start. This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive department and deliver engaging, high-quality lessons across KS3 and KS4.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering the Computing/ICT curriculum, inspiring students in areas such as digital literacy, programming, and computer science, while maintaining high standards of behaviour and achievement.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging Computing/ICT lessons in line with the national curriculum.
Teach topics such as programming, data representation, cybersecurity, and digital systems.
Prepare students for GCSE examinations (where applicable).
Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all students, including those with SEND and SEMH needs.
Maintain strong classroom management and promote positive behaviour for learning.
Assess, monitor, and track student progress, providing feedback to support attainment.
Contribute to departmental planning and whole-school initiatives where required.
Person Specification
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant UK teaching qualification (unqualified teachers with strong subject experience may be considered).
Experience teaching Computing/ICT at secondary level.
Strong subject knowledge and confidence delivering up to GCSE level.
Excellent classroom management skills.
Ability to engage and motivate learners of varying abilities.
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
