Roadside Mechanic Needed in Chelmsford
1. Position: Roadside Recovery (Backup support as needed – Patrols are open to candidates who may slightly fall outside of the entry requirements)
2. Working Hours: 40 hours per week. Must be available between 6 am and midnight. Weekends are limited to no more than 50% of the year (if a weekend is worked, it’s a full weekend shift; otherwise, you get the entire weekend off). In practice, weekend shifts tend to be much less than 50%.
3. Salary: £40,000 per year + plenty of overtime available (OTE ranging between £48k - £58k)
Our client, the UK's leading breakdown service provider, is seeking a skilled and dedicated Roadside Mechanic to join their growing Roadside Patrol team. As a valued member of the team, you’ll provide essential roadside support, delivering high-quality service to members across the country. With a strong focus on customer satisfaction, you’ll handle breakdowns, troubleshoot technical issues, and provide expert assistance.
Key Responsibilities for the Roadside Technician:
4. Respond to roadside breakdowns and offer technical support
5. Diagnose and repair vehicles, handling a range of mechanical, electrical, and diagnostic issues
6. Ensure members receive exceptional service every time
7. Maintain a customer-focused approach in all interactions
What We’re Looking For in a Roadside Technician:
8. Level 2 qualification in light vehicle maintenance (or equivalent)
9. Strong technical, electrical, and diagnostic experience
10. Customer-focused approach with excellent communication skills
11. Full UK driving licence
