We are currently recruiting for a Technical Services Manager to work at a well-established medical site in the Harrogate area. Working along side a team of other Technical Managers, the focus of your role is to manage the on site engineers and be a point of technical advice and escalation should You will also be responsible for managing the performance and productivity of the engineer team and will monitor the KPI's of the department, ensuring service level agreements are met in a timely manner. As part of the new structure there will be some new supervisors hired and once this is in place they will manage 1 st line engineering enquiries leaving the TSM role to look at more departmental strategies and improvement. There are currently 2 TSM roles available, one for electrical bias and one for fabric bias. Duties include:
* Manage the engineering team to deliver a strong ppm and reactive maintenance service
* Provide a level of technical expertise in your specific skill set - e.g. electrical or fabric work.
* Manage the KPI's for the engineering team using the CAFM system, making sure works are completed on time and in line with SLA's
* On the managerial on call rota 1 week in 5 - phone escalations (call out enhancement included in salary)
* Managing small works and projects as required
* Working within SHEQ guidelines operating to a high standard of health and safety
* Completing site walk rounds and internal audits in preparation for external audits and technical reviews
* Engaging with subcontractors for specialist works, issuing permits to work, overseeing work and managing quality.
* Be involved with the continuous improvement of the department and development of the service, looking to make efficiencies and improve the energy usage of the building through smart estates solutions.
* Become an Authorised Person (training provided)
Will need to pass an enhanced DBS check
* Must be willing to wear a facemask at work
* From a technical hand on background - electrical or fabric - with relevant NVQ or City Guilds
* Staff management experience
* Hospital or Critical Environment maintenance experience desirable
* Training and coaching provided - lots of opportunity to upskill
