You will be responsible for
* Recruiting and training the best people for your team, ensuring they have the capability to deliver above and beyond in their role by developing their operational and leadership skills.
* Coaching your team to be passionate and knowledgeable about the products in your store, building its brand and providing customers with the right range, quality and service.
* Leading the team in driving trade activity and using your expertise and knowledge to grow sales and maximise profit.
* Leading and building your managers' knowledge to deliver and sustain the Store Change Plan and resource‑planned activities, ensuring hours are worked where they benefit customers best, identifying and resolving root‑cause issues with sustainable solutions and continual reviews.
* Ensuring the safety of your colleagues and that the store is trading legally by coaching the team to use all security tools available.
You will need
* Excellent communication skills, sharing knowledge, experience and best practices while working collaboratively with your team to deliver results.
* A natural welcoming attitude toward customers, taking the time to listen, understand and build strong relationships with colleagues and customers alike.
* Energy and resilience to sustain momentum in challenging environments, owning decision‑making for the store and acting quickly when needed.
* Energy and drive to deliver beyond expectations, doing the right thing in all circumstances and inspiring confidence in those around you.
* A competitive awareness of what other retailers are doing and a continual drive to develop new initiatives to improve the store for customers.
* Over 18 years old (or meeting conditions for early or late work hours or specific duties).
