This role will be based out of the Portadown depot.As a AM shift drivers helper, you will start at 6:15am based from Portadown site, Monday to Friday, with Saturdays required, on a rota basis.Role & ResponsibilitiesTo provide assistance to the Driver at all timesObtain all necessary documentation for the daily runs to ensure efficient operation of the business activitiesCheck customer routing for the daily runs, prioritising workloads to ensure all customer commitments are achievedProvide excellent customer service that supports the RiverRidge brandDue to the physical nature of the role, you will be required to collect and move commercial containersEnsure all electronic paperwork is completed in an accurate and timely mannerEnsure Health & Safety adherence at all timesWear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)Any other duties as delegated by the Transport Department.Essential CriteriaMust hold a Full UK Driving Licence (Max 6 penalty points)Good Geographical knowledge of NIGood Communication skills (both written and verbal)Experience in dealing with customers and members of the publicAbility to work well with others / Team PlayerMust be able to apply Manual Handling techniquesFlexible approach to working hours to include weekends and Bank HolidaysDesirable CriteriaPrevious experience working in a similar rolePrevious experience working within the Transport Sector*Any offer of employment will be subject to successful security clearances***Must be able to provide documentation to confirm their eligibility to work in the UK**What we offer!Competitive Hourly Rate - £12.80 Annual Bonus scheme availableOvertime rate of Time and a Half for hours worked over 44 hours/Mon-FriSaturday and Bank Holiday rate of Time and a Half28 days Annual leave (incl of 8 Customary/Bank Holidays)Company pension schemeFree parkingEmployee Uniform Closing Date: 12th June 2026, 5 pm To be considered for this role you will be redirected to and must complete the application process on our careers page.
