London (Hybrid – 3 days office)
TT Electronics, a global electronics manufacturer powering everything from satellites to stairlifts (yes, even the Mars Rover!), is looking for a proactive, commercially minded Group Legal Counsel to join their small but high‑impact legal team.
With a new CEO, renewed momentum, and a focus on growth – including an active M&A agenda – this is an exceptional opportunity to step into a broad, influential, high‑visibility role at a UK‑listed PLC.
Why TT Electronics?
1. A close‑knit, high‑energy legal team with real influence
2. Exposure to the full legal spectrum: commercial, M&A, compliance, governance, IP, litigation
3. A business with real engineering expertise and a compelling growth story
4. Head office relocated to London (Bank) in 6 – bringing new energy into the organisation
5. Genuine opportunity to shape legal strategy and partner directly with leadership
This is the perfect role for someone wanting to move in‑house or take the next step up in responsibility – breadth, ownership, and variety come as standard.
The Role
As Group Legal Counsel – Europe, you’ll report directly to the Group General Counsel & Company Secretary and act as a trusted advisor across TT’s UK and EU operations. You’ll handle:
Core Responsibilities
6. Leading on commercial contracting across customers, suppliers, consultancy and distribution agreements
7. Supporting and leading elements of M&A transactions, including diligence, execution and integration
8. Supporting compliance across data protection, export controls, anti‑bribery, and wider regulatory matters
9. Managing litigation and disputes
10. Contributing to strong corporate governance across EU
11. Advising on IP considerations (primarily soft IP)
12. Partnering with business leaders as a genuine “sounding board”
13. Liaising with top‑tier external counsel
14. Providing training across sites – including UK travel and occasional trips to Asia
You’ll work closely with a small, agile legal team including the GC, a Deputy CoSec, a US-qualified lawyer, and your counterpart in the UK/Asia region.
What We’re Looking For
15. England & Wales qualified solicitor
16. 4+ PQE (sweet spot: 4-8 PQE)
17. Strong background in M&A (either in practice or in‑house)
18. Experience in commercial contracts with an interest to learn more
19. Ability to communicate complex issues simply and effectively
20. A collaborative, positive personality – cultural fit is key
21. Someone who loves rolling up their sleeves and getting stuck in
22. No sector experience needed (but always a bonus)
This is a role for someone who wants variety, visibility, and meaningful impact – not a siloed specialist seat.
Working Pattern & Environment
23. 3 days/week in the office
24. Travel to UK sites encouraged (4-6 times per year)
25. Join a vibrant head office of ~ people with real cross‑functional collaboration
