The role reports into a Category Director and will work across a number of customers but also have ownership for a subcategory within the product portfolio and support the commercial team with market, category and consumer led insight to drive growth for our brand portfolioRole Key AccountabilitiesBe the voice of the shopper & consumer via effective use of market data, insight & trends.Develop, and implement shopper & consumer led category plans to support delivery of commercial, and customer objectives.Create and deliver compelling selling stories for products in conjunction with Sales, Marketing and Development Teams.Develop category plans to drive our portfolioBuild positive relationships with external & internal stakeholders.Attend customer meetings to present latest category, market, and shopper data & insights.Knowledge, Skills and ExperienceEssential:2+ years in a customer facing FMCG Customer Marketing/Category Management (ideally with Major Multiples)Experience of using key category management tools – e.g. EPOS & panel data, shopper & consumer insight, range management, space planning/merchandisingCommercial insight & acumen – build/adapt customer/category plans to meet & exceed commercial objectivesAble to present category information in a clear & confident way to all audiencesStrong communication skillsAbility to interpret multiple data and insight sources to solve problems effectivelyAbility to work on own initiative and also as part of a teamP&L understandingStrong attention to detailMS Office skills (Powerpoint & Excel)Educated to Degree levelFull clean driving licenseDesirable:Experience of using retailer loyalty card data platforms
