We are looking for sessional tutors to join our team.
At Kaplan Digital Pathways, We offer digital Foundation Certificate, International Year One and Pre-Masters courses which are run and delivered online, with support from our existing Colleges. There is a mix of synchronous and asynchronous activities as well as sessions with an advisor to ensure students are supported throughout their course.
As a Sessional Tutor, you will join our successful team and provide stimulating, effective teaching to international students preparing to study on undergraduate and/or postgraduate programmes. We are looking for individuals with knowledge and teaching expertise in Business, Economics or Accounting.
Your role with include all duties associated with planning, preparing, delivering learning experiences for students including:
1. Teaching students' content in the relevant subject area as outlined in the module specification, at foundation certificate (RQF Level 3) and/or pre-masters (CEFR B2 level).
2. Delivering lessons and other learning activities that engage and inspire students to achieve and learn effectively - both face-to-face and online through platforms such as MS Teams and Zoom.
3. Embedding appropriate digital technologies in learning and assessment methods, so that it adds value or creates efficiency or improves student engagement.
4. Working with colleagues to ensure consistency of delivery of content and assessment processes and sharing these across the Kaplan International Pathways network.
5. Supporting students to develop their e-portfolio.
6. Adjusting and adapting content, where necessary, to suit the needs of learners.

What you’ll bring to the role
7. Experience of teaching to post 16 students (a teaching qualification would be an advantage).
8. The ability to plan, deliver and review a range of learning activities that guide and support students to achieve and flourish.
9. The ability to develop and update innovative teaching material that engages all students.
10. The ability to work collaboratively as part of a range of different teams in order to continually improve the student experience.
11. Flexibility and willingness to work under pressure to deadlines in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
12. A strong commitment to continuous professional development and a proven track record of using this to enhance the student experience.
13. Demonstrable experience of using technology to inform teaching practice and a willingness to embrace innovations.
14. A Post Graduate qualification but strong first degree or relevant professional experience will be considered.
15. If teaching English language, then a DELTA or equivalent qualification. CELTA plus relevant experience will also be considered.
