Job Title: Temporary Stock Controller (Maternity Cover) Location: [Insert Location] Contract: Fixed-term, Maternity Cover Hours: Full-time We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Temporary Stock Controller to provide maternity cover within our stock control team. This is a hands-on role focused on ensuring accurate inventory records, system alignment, and smooth stock movements across multiple warehouse and logistics operations. Key Responsibilities Perform stock reconciliations between ERP (NAV) and 3rd party warehouse management systems, identifying and resolving anomalies. Extract and analyse stock data using Excel to ensure alignment across systems. Investigate discrepancies through stock movement audits, correcting errors where necessary. Collaborate with 3rd party logistics partners to resolve product coding issues (case sizes, vintages, duty, descriptions). Validate and process stock transfers between logistics centres. Maintain accurate ERP records relating to stock duty, case sizes, and warehouse allocations. Monitor and process physical warehouse shortages and associated claims. Continuously seek opportunities to improve processes, accuracy, and efficiency. Key Relationships External: Third-party logistics providers Internal: Finance, Operations, Customer Service, Buying, and Sales Skills & Competencies Strong attention to detail with excellent numerical and analytical skills. Advanced MS Excel skills are essential. Highly organised, able to work independently and meet deadlines. Effective communicator with the ability to engage across all levels. Calm and accurate when working under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Tenacity and a "right first time" mindset. Experience Extensive experience in stock control processes within commercial environments. Proficiency with ERP systems (experience with NAV desirable). Previous experience working with 3rd party logistics and warehouse management systems. Wine knowledge is advantageous, but not essential.
